On August 13, the 56m grab dredger, equipped with YC16VC marine engine for the first time, successfully completed its commissioning in Xiangshui, Jiangsu.

A grab dredger is mainly used for river dredging, wharf construction, sediment loading and unloading, hoisting of heavy objects at sea, and marine piling. It is a relatively common engineering ship. In the past, grab dredgers were mainly equipped with engines of foreign brands. With the development of the market and the continuous improvement of China's technology level, some customers now tend to use engines of Chinese brands. Yuchai's YC16VC marine engine has garnered customer attention for its robust power, large torque, and low fuel consumption, so Yuchai finally won the bid. During the test run, the grab dredger exhibited a grab capacity of up to 30 m3 and an excavation depth of up to 50m, fully demonstrating the strong advantages of Yuchai products.

The successful test run has laid a good foundation for the application of Yuchai products in the ship segment in the future.
