The Lunar March 3 Festival, listed as a national intangible cultural heritage item, is a traditional festival celebrated by the Zhuang ethnic group in Guangxi province. To promote national unity and create a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation, on the afternoon of April 21, March 3 on the Chinese lunar calendar, Guangxi Yuchai Marine and Genset Power Co., Ltd. （YCMGP） held a fun activity themed on "celebrating the Lunar March 3 Festival" in a workshop. There were a total of 90 participants, who were divided into 10 teams.

The activity comprised two parts, the relay of catching embroidered balls with back-baskets （hereinafter referred to as the embroidered ball relay） and the relay of carrying bamboo baskets （hereinafter referred to as the bamboo basket relay）。 Each team sent three participants to embroidered ball relay and six participants to the bamboo basket relay. The exciting embroidered ball relay was the first to be carried out. Some teams' members were very happy, as their teammates successfully caught the embroidered balls thrown by the embroidery girls.However, some teams were not that lucky. Their players often failed to catch the ball, prompting members of competing teams to lend a helping hand by generously offering game tips during challenging moments.

With all participants helping each other, the first game was completed. Then the bamboo basket relay began. The players, with straw hats atop their heads and bamboo baskets on their shoulders, were as nimble as swallows during the competition. Accompanied by the cheering sounds and reminders from their teammates, they deftly navigated the obstacles along the runway in an S-shaped pattern, reaching the finish line with ease before doubling back to the starting point. The relay ended with the laughter and applause of everyone.

After the addition of scores from both competitions, all the teams were ranked accordingly. Ultimately, the first prize was awarded to the team on behalf of the C/VC platform and new product assembling and testing lines for their exceptional tactics.

After the end of the games, a participant surnamed Huang said excitedly, "This is my first time throwing an embroidered ball. It's a happy, interesting and meaningful experience for me."

Another participant surnamed Mo then said, "This is also my first time carrying a shoulder pole. I was very nervous during the relay, but I also found it very exciting and fun. I want to thank Yuchai for giving us a unique experience in celebrating the Lunar March 3 Festival."

Through this activity, all employees have experienced the rich ethnic culture, local customs and charm of the Lunar March 3 Festival, had a deeper understanding of the traditional culture of the Zhuang ethnic group, and felt Yuchai's care for them. The activity has played a role in enhancing the unity and cohesion of all the employees and is of important significance in promoting national unity and progress, creating a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation, and pooling the efforts of all employees to build a better Yuchai.
