On April 17, Nanning Customs District P.R.China （Nanning Customs for short） visited Yuchai to understand the opinions and suggestions of enterprises on import and export tax policies, and to seek more precise policy support for the development of Yuchai's foreign trade industry. Relevant staff members from the Purchasing Department of Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., Guangxi Yuchai Marine and Genset Power Co., Ltd., and MTU Yuchai Power Company Limited, attended the tax policy research meeting.

According to Yuchai's current difficulties and needs, the meeting focused on the proposed tax policy adjustment. First, for major technical equipment, it is proposed to reduce the power index of those high-power diesel engines and other key marine equipment "natural gas and dual-fuel engines with a bore of 200MM" from 1000kW to 500kW. Second, it is proposed to reduce the tariff rate on the core imported parts of Yuchai engines, including the fuel injector, piston, high-pressure fuel pump, high-pressure common rail fuel line, and sensor.

Yu Yongxiang, Director of Nanning Customs Tariff Office,  expounded on the objective of customs tax policy research and pointed out that tax policy research is the most direct way for enterprises and industries to express their needs and participate in the formulation of tax policies, as well as the most direct and effective channel for enterprises to enjoy the national tax reduction policy.

According to the national macroeconomic development and the reasonable demands for the development of enterprises and industries, the customs puts forward suggestions on tax policy adjustment to the competent authorities of the state （such as the Office of Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council） based on in-depth research on industries.

In this way, we will improve conditions for the development of competitive domestic industries, promote the healthy development of high-tech industries, further enhance the competitiveness of relevant industries in the international market, and strengthen the ability of enterprises to cope with the complex and volatile trade situation.

For Yuchai's suggestions on tax policy adjustment, Nanning Customs will guide the declaration of tax policy research through policy analysis and methods including industrial structure, key commodities, advanced technology, green and low-carbon development, and supporting opinions, and encourage Yuchai to make full use of its industrial strength and relevant policies to enjoy more policy dividends and reduce enterprise costs.

In addition, the two sides had business exchanges on the royalties of Yuchai import and export goods, withholding corporate income tax for overseas technical cooperation projects and the effective application of RCEP, and made the next work plan.
