[Working Hard for A Good Start] YCMGP's Largest Marine Engine YC16VCX Passes CCS Type Approval

At the beginning of 2023, employees of Guangxi Yuchai Marine and Genset Power Co., Ltd. (YCMGP) who returned from the Spring Festival holidays resumed their work in high spirits.

On January 29, YC16VCX, YCMGP's marine engine series with the largest displacement, was granted the type approval certificate issued by China Classification Society (CCS)。

The YC16VCX marine engine series developed by YCMGP has the largest displacement and power, with a bore of 215mm and a stroke of 210mm. It features a high power of up to 4,000hp and low fuel consumption and meets the Phase II emission limits specified in GB15097, the Chinese standard for marine engines. It fills the gap of the company in 4,000hp models and can well meet the demand for large-displacement and high-power marine engines for ships. This series further expands Yuchai's high-power marine engine model family, marking a good start for YCMGP's development of new products in 2023.

From January 30 to February 2, the first batch of YCMGP's marine gensets was ready for receiving the field inspection conducted by CCS Hainan Branch. The inspection began with the 250kW marine genset. After the marine surveyor of CCS inspected the installation and connection reliability and safety in each component of the genset and conducted several strict ship inspection tests, the genset finally withstood the tests and met the requirements of the ship inspection regulations, getting a good start.

Up to now, many marine gensets of Yuchai have passed the ship inspection certification. Next, more products will be launched one after another to enrich YCMGP's engine family,  providing the market with a continuous supply of marine engines.
